Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = xxxx ns)
System logs show the following message:
kernel: Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = xxxx ns). Enable clocksource failover by adding clocksource_failover kernel parameter.
아래와 같은 메세지가 출력되는 경우
2013-07-16T05:00:05.181538-04:00 xxxxxx kernel: Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -95170507948 ns). Enable clocksource failover by adding clocksource_failover kernel parameter. 2013-07-16T05:00:05.181555-04:00 xxxxxx kernel: Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -51539542975 ns). Enable clocksource failover by adding clocksource_failover kernel parameter.
해결방법
클럭소스를 다른것으로 변경한다.
먼저 시스템에서 사용가능한 클럭소스종류를 확인한다.
$ cat /sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/available_clocksource tsc hpet acpi_pm
현재 설정된 클럭소스 확인
$ cat /sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/current_clocksource tsc
클럭소스를 변경한다.
$ echo <new clock source selection> > /sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/current_clocksource
클럭소스를 리부팅 시에도 영구적으로 적용되도록 하려면 /boot/grub/grub.conf의 커널 파라메터에 아래와 같이 추가하도록 한다.
clocksource=<clock source choice>
